Double Pointed Knitting Needle Set

Interchangeable Cables for Circular Knitting Needles

The smooth cable join lets your stitches slide around your knitting needles with no snags. The long threaded join along with the tightening hole make for extra security that the cables and tips of the knitting needles will stay connected. And the flexible cable has very little memory so you can start knitting immediately. Simply unscrew the needle tips and screw on the cable caps to keep your knitting safe when your needle tips are required elsewhere. Lace knitters will love that they can tie a piece of scrap yarn through the tiny hole in the cable end (used for the tightening key) and thread a lifeline through their lace at regular intervals while they are knitting. Available in 24″, 32″, 40″, 47″ and 60″ lengths. (Final cable length is achieved when both needles and cables are secured together.) Set includes two cables, four end caps and tightening key.

Knit Picks Fixed Circular Needles

The very smallest needle sizes and shortest circular needle lengths do not accommodate the interchangeable screw feature of our Options needles. For this reason, we rounded out our complete needle product line with these durable fixed circular needles in all the sizes and lengths that are not available as interchangeable circular needles. Our classic circular needles have the same super flexible cable with secure and smooth cable to needle join, slick nickel-plated needle surface and tapered tips as the Options needles.

The metric sizing system is more precise than the US sizing system. We offer two US size 1 – equivalent to 2.25mm and 2.50mm and two US size 2 – equivalent to 2.75mm and 3.00mm.

The 16″ needle tips are 3 3/8 inches long, allowing for an easily formed complete circle for small circumference knitting. All of the other needle tips (24″, 32″, 40″ and 47″) are 5 1/8 inches long. Since our cable is super flexible, the Magic Loop method of sock knitting can be accomplished with the 32″ needles for one sock at a time. For two socks at a time, try either the 40″ or 47″ needles.

Tip Stand
Display your needles in an organized manner on your work surface. This acrylic stand will hold any of our Harmony wood, Zephyr acrylic and nickel-plated needle tips. US sizes 4-17 are clearly marked on the holder so you can see at a glance the tips you need. 7″ x2 1/2″ x3 1/4″. Easy assembly required, phillips head screwdriver needed. Needle tips sold separately.

Size Tags
Slide a tag on your cable to mark your needle size when you take the needle tips to use in another project. Tags are marked in both US and millimeter sizes. Set of 12, for US sizes 4-17.

Cable Connectors
Now your interchangeable cables have even more options! Use this cable connector to attach two cables together into an extra long cord! This is very useful for knitting wide afghans, shawls, or lengthwise scarves. There is a hole in the center of this cable connector, so you can tighten it with a key, the same way that you attach a cable to a needle tip. Each cable connector is 1.5 inches long, and you will receive 3 cable connectors and a key in each set.

Needle and Gauge Sizer
This needle sizer is the perfect compact tool. You can check your needle size, check your gauge, and measure your stitches or rows all with this pocket sized tool. The Knit Picks view sizer can check the gauge of every size of Knit Picks needle, from US size 0 (2 mm) to US size 17 (12 mm). There is also a six inch ruler, and a magnifying section to measure your gauge. 2¼” x 6 1/2″.
