Braided Cable Scarf

Posted by crisschaney on

Hot off the press is our latest original design by our in house knitwear designer. This new cowl is all cable, made flat and sewn together. Great for bundling up on those cold winter days.

Braided Cable Cowl

Size: 9” by 60”

Materials: 440 yards bulky yarn. Sample uses 8 skeins of Mirasol Sulka (merino wool/alpaca/silk blend) – color 214 burnt orange. Any solid or striping bulky yarn can be used. Buy the yarn from us and get the pattern Free!

Pattern: You can buy the pattern online for $5

Gauge: doesn’t really matter but the fabric should be soft so that it lays softly. If it’s too stiff, go up one needle size.

Needles: Size 11 needles, Cable needle, and Row Counter

Play with how you wear this scarf.  You can leave it long with one twist or you can wrap it once or twice for different effects!  If you choose a heavier or lighter weight yarn, do a swatch to calculate how many stitches to cast on.
