As some of you may know the owner of Yarn Designers Boutique, Gena Hester is currently taking an online fashion knitwear design course at Academy of Arts University in San Francisco. In November we had the pleasure of visiting it in person, participating in on a life drawing class, and getting a sneak peek at their super secret knitting machinery. It was such a pleasure, and so inspiring to see what all the other students were doing and to really take in the creative vibe.

So now we would like to introduce a brand new original design from our very own in house fashion designer, it has been specially designed for angora yarn and is as comfortable and soft as it is fashionable.

Angora Horseshoe Slouchy Hat

Size: Average woman’s size – 22 inches circumference

What you will need Yarn: Coeur d’ Angora – Fonty  – 120 yds per ball – 2 balls Or substitute:  Louisa Harding – Kimono Pure Angora – 2 balls
Needles: Size 3 needles for ribbing (knit flat – needles to accommodate 100+ stitches) Size 6 needles for body of hat 12 markers for pattern repeats

Gauge: 22 sts X 30 rows = 4” square in stockinette stitch on Size 6 needles
