Description

Tulla Tweed wool yarn is a trendy blend of fibers including merino wool & recycled cotton that transforms into stripes when knitted, while showcasing a sophisticated tweed fleck!

The chainette construction (the base yarn is extra-fine - to make a thicker yarn, it's braided like an I-cord to form a casing with a hollow center) produces garments that are lightweight, less prone to pilling, and incredibly cozy as heat is trapped in the hollow core.

When using Tulla Tweed for your designs, Louisa suggests using larger needles than you normally would for plied yarns to achieve the same gauge - giving the yarn a chance to stretch.

If you use the same needle size as a plied yarn, the resulting fabric may be too dense. If substituting Tulla Tweed in another pattern, it's crucial to swatch, especially for patterns that typically use a worsted spun yarn.
