Braided Cable Cowl, Intermediate Knitting Kit

This oversized bulky cowl is made in super soft alpaca, it's a pleasure to knit and to wear. It can be wrapped twice around the neck for those super cold nights, or just drape it around your neck and let it hang low as to accent your outfit. The yarn in this kit is a hand dyed blend of Alpaca, Silk and Merino Wool from Peru, where the proceeds go to funding a rural school in Munani. Each color is slightly heathered to add depth and interest to your cowl.

13 Inch Single Point Clover Bamboo Needles in US Size 11: The look and feel of these sturdy and lightweight bamboo needles improves with age. Thanks to Clover's unique processing technique, "Takumi" needles make for smooth knitting right from the start. The more you knit with them, the smoother they become to the touch. "Takumi" needles are also 60% lighter than aluminum needles of the same size, so your hands don't tire, even after a knitting movie marthon.

Cable Needle: With this kit you have the option of adding Clover's Jumbo U shaped cable needle. Use the smaller of the two for this cowl and hold the stitches in the U shape to keep them from falling off.

Row Counter: This simple Knit Picks row counter will fit on any needle up to a size 15. You'll use the row counter to keep track of where to do your cable crosses.

Measuring Tape: This classic yellow measuring tape will help you figure out when your cowl measures 60 inches long.

Packaged in hanks, this fair trade yarn features a lush mixture of hand dyed Merino Wool, Alpaca and Silk from the Peruvian Highlands.

A portion of every purchase is dedicated directly to funding a school in the remote area of Munani in the region of Puno to educate the children of the shepherds.
