Vickie Howell—host of Knitty Gritty, Styleicious, and author of New Knits on the Block—shows teens of all types just how cool knitting is!

One glance at this yearbook style volume will have every teen, from preps to punks, grabbing for their knitting needles. Vickie Howell has created something for each one of them, from drama club thespians (theater mask hats), to first time drivers (steering wheel, headrest, and seatbelt cozies), and future olympians (athletic socks).

Each hip, urban-styled project represents a different group, event, milestone, or interest; taken as a whole, they capture the diversity of the high school experience. Plus, Howell offers “Knitting 101” for beginners, and ranks the projects by difficulty, from “Freshman” for the simplest to “Varsity” for those who enjoy a challenge.  With her help, every young knitter will make the grade!

Orders are shipped via economy shipping (3-9 business days) and the cost is based on order weight. 


Shipping and Delivery is the charge for Internet order processing, item selection, packaging, transport and handling. Delivery times are not guaranteed, but are our best approximation and will vary with specific requests. Shipments and deliveries only occur on weekdays. If your order is received by 10AM Monday through Friday, we will ship it same day. Every effort will be made for Saturday shipments when possible.

Additional charges may accrue on Priority, Overnight and International shipping if multiple attempts are made for delivery.
