Rainforest – Hand Dyed Yarn Inspired by Lush Jungle Greens
I dyed Rainforest with the earthy, layered beauty of a real rainforest in mind. This hand dyed yarn features rich browns like damp tree trunks, soft petal pinks that peek through like hidden jungle flowers, and most of all—deep, layered shades of green yarn that evoke mossy ground cover, leafy canopies, and filtered light through the trees.
Each skein is randomly speckled, giving you a unique, painterly effect when you knit or crochet. The greens shift subtly across the yarn, while the speckles of brown and pink add quiet pops of contrast. It’s a colorway that feels grounded, soft, and full of quiet life—perfect for textured stitches, simple stockinette, or playful pooling if you’re feeling adventurous.
No two hanks are exactly the same, but they’re dyed in small coordinated batches—so they still pair beautifully in larger projects like shawls, sweaters, or accessories.
I use Jacquard Acid Dyes for every batch to bring out this natural depth and vibrancy—and they never disappoint.
