Yayoi's Dream Shawl Kit by MarinJaKnits
Yayoi's Dream is named after the renowned Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama, the top-selling female artist in the world.
Like Kusama's career, this shawl is a masterpiece in its own right.
If you haven't already, I highly recommend watching the documentary "Kusama: Infinity (2018)" to explore her fascinating and poignant journey in the art world.
This Shawl features a captivating dot & dash element as well as a playful polka dotted pattern, with a unique twist - it looks equally stunning on the wrong side. What sets this shawl apart is its V-neck start, offering a delightful variation that allows you to wear it differently on your back or front.
It's a perfect blend of quirkiness and functionality, making it a winning addition to your wardrobe.
Discover the artistry of Yayoi Kusama and make a statement with the Yayoi's Dream Shawl today!
This yarn kit contains Urth Yarns' Harvest and Uneek Fingering, artfully dyed yarn which does most of the color work for you, gently and gradually blending through your shawl.
With over 80 color combinations to choose from, we have the largest selection of yarn colors for Yayoi's Dream Shawl on the internet.
You Will Also Need
US 4 (3.5 mm) Knitting Needles. The project grows from under 100 stitches to over 500. We recommend interchangeable needles so you can simply change cable lengths (or connect two cables together). If you do not have this option and need to purchase needles, we suggest buying the longest cable you can.
Stitch Markers (some removable)
Yarn Needle or Hook to Tuck in Ends
Approximately 32" - 36" high and 58" wide at the top
(depending on blocking)
To care for your shawl, you can machine wash it on gentle cycle in cool water and lay it flat to dry.
Once you have completed your purchase, the digital pattern will be emailed to you in PDF format, and your yarn will be sent by first class post. If you include your Ravelry Username in the notes box when you check out, we can have it added to your pattern library.
About the Yarn
Hand dyeing with natural organic materials creates natural earthy colors. Because of the unique natural materials used for harvest yarn, colors are sometimes subject to variation as each harvest is different.
We can't resist these stunning hanks, they're hand dyed extrafine merino, and when knit they magically create symmetrical color changes in your butterfly cowl.
